HR festival: meaningful playground for students

The first ever festival of young human resources in 2011 organized by provincial Student Association was within expectation of students in Binh Duong who enjoyed a whole day involving knowledge and skills supplement to meet requirements of recruiting employers. The festival also helped them to be able to determine personal ‘talent’ and skills to adapt as well as information about HR policies.

On this occasion, 10 students were awarded with scholarship of “dream enlightenment” sponsored by Dai Thien Loc Company while 50 other students were honored by Provincial People’s Committee. By November 29, they have another chance to visit some companies in local industrial parks.

It was a playground of emulation and knowledge equipment for intellectuals attending universities in and out of the province. By such approach, image of a developing and labor-thirst Binh Duong Province is broadcast. Students were engaged in first-ever job interviews.

“Most of the students were embarassed to play role of applicants. They did not know hoaw to sell themselves to employers. They could only present themselves in general and non-persuasive manner. By listening to them, we could identify their weakness in job interviews and point out skills to be trained. Thus, they would have a better view of their strength and weakness to win the heart of employers in real job interviews,” said Le Thanh Luan, Director to Thien Khoi HR Company. Meantime, speaker Tran Dinh Phuc, former HR Head of Castrol Vietnam highlighted great advantage of newly graduates who are “young, enthusiastic, creative, and clean sheet to be adaptive to specific cultural company”

A day was not long enough for what to be communicated; however, students have relatively equipped with knowledge to face up their future job interviews.
