Binh Duong province has 28 industrial parks and 8 industrial clusters including many domestic and foreign enterprises. The industrialization and modernization progress requires a qualified human resource to meet requirements of professional works, international integration. Universities and colleges in the province anticipated this and begun to give training to satisfy social needs.
Infrastructure investment, team quality improvement
Since its establishment, Thu Dau Mot University specified this was a public university to serve the needs of human resource developing and training of the province. The quality of training is crucial to build up brand name. Thus the university has implemented policies to attract capable personnel. Rector Nguyen Van Hiep said, the university has identified to follow multidisciplinary and multi-sector training. The university increased their staff and lecturers number from nearly 180 to more than 700 including lecturers having doctoral, master's degree to meet teaching and scientific research standards.
Eastern International University (EIU) is also a typical international university. A large university with modern teaching aids, well-trained teaching staff, advanced educational managing system, has become the selection of many students in recent years.

Some non-public universities, like: Binh Duong Economics – Technology University, Binh Duong University, have also attempted to enhance infrastructure investment, innovate training and management, take quality as important. Expanding disciplines
The globalization and international integration process requires high-quality human resources to meet social needs. EIU’s Rector Nguyen Van Phuc said: “Becamex IDC decided to invest about $100 million to build EIU towards international standards; initially focusing on high-tech engineering, business management, nursing, in 2016 opening pharmacy and medical doctor. Currently, EIU has 2,994 students. Although this number is small, this is a good chance for EIU to take care of 100% students, facilitate students’ probation in first years”.
Thu Dau Mot University has oriented towards applicable multidisciplinary and multi-sector training, research university. To serve the cause of education - training and industrialization - modernization of the province, the university has developed 28 disciplines including 22 university and 6 college training of natural sciences , social sciences and humanities, economics, pedagogics, engineering, environment.
Strengthening cooperation in training
According to Binh Duong University’s Rector Cao Van Phuong, the university has cooperated with other universities to exchange lecturers. Namely, in 2015, the university has stepped up cooperation with major American universities and educational institutions to welcome foreign lecturers to Binh Duong University. This has helped students to improve English skills, have access to the advanced world education.
In July, lecturer Mitsuyo Narukage of Japanese Anabuki educational group came to Binh Duong University. From September 2015, Ms. Mitsuyo Narukage will teach Japanese to students of Japanese Language Center under Binh Duong University. Binh Duong University and Japanese Anabuki educational group officially signed training cooperation in June 2015 to open counseling, training centers to send Vietnamese students to Japan for training at Anabuki group system, develop linked training system between the two universities grating international degree, open more disciplines at Binh Duong University.
Binh Duong Economics – Technology University has also cooperated with enterprises in training. The university sent faculty staff, students to enterprises for visit and probation, organized career days for students to meet and talk directly with employers. Therefore, most graduates were recruited.
Colleges, vocational schools have also boosted cooperative training. Specifically, Binh Duong Agriculture and Forestry junior college cooperated with KOICA organization and Korean Darby -CJ Gennetics Company to give annual training of husbandry, veterinary to their students and farmers of the southeast region, exchange lecturers, students for training in Korea.
Apart from professional knowledge, universities have also focused on fostering soft skills and English for students. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, due to globalization, graduates must have English proficiency to compete with peers. Therefore, EIU has paid much attention to English cultivation for students through English training center located on campus, English clubs, lab rooms in order for students to improve English skills, and achieve IELTS 6.0 level.
Regarding improving the quality of human resources, a leader of educational sector said, universities and colleges had to promote the cooperation with enterprises, relationships with employers. Educational sector has directed educational facilities to enhance cooperation with businesses, adjust curriculums in accordance with social needs, facilitate probation, introduce jobs, improving training quality.
