Early April 6, the province’s Emulation Bloc No. 7 (including provincial Fatherland Front Committee, political - social organizations and associations) held a humanitarian market-day at provincial Red Cross Society’s humanitarian reception point on April 30 in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Hoa ward.
The event was attended Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee and leaders of units in the Emulation Bloc No. 7.
The market-day aimed to mobilize and connect compassionate hearts to support the local people facing difficulties, due to Covid-19 pandemic. In order to organize the market-day, the units in the Emulation Bloc No. 7 actively mobilized donors to make contributions worth over VND 650 million. At the market-day, hundreds of people with difficult circumstances were given gifts worth VND 1.6 million each, including VND 500,000 in cash, necessities and a health care voucher.
On this occasion, provincial Red Cross Society presented gratitude boards to units and donors for their contributions to the humanitarian market-day.
