Along with other localities, Thuan An Town launched its week of cleaning up the world in 2015 in practical activities of cleaning streets, public areas, removing water hyacinth, dredging water flows, planting trees, etc. with prominent communication activities to gain true effects.

Staffs of Thuan An Town Division of Natural Resources and Environment offer gifts for wastes from the public
The stall of exchanging wastes for gifts was specially organized by staffs of Thuan An Town Division of Natural Resources and Environment. Phan Thai Son, the division deputy head, said that 500 gifts were prepared for the exchange. He disclosed that the gifts of low value (VND 40,000 to 50,000) have been of great community effects.
To promote information dissemination and communication of environment protection, in recent years, all-level departments and unions including local enterprises have been engaged to practical and specific activities. Ngo Tien Dat, the Secretary of Thuan An Town Youth’s League said that his local league has established various models of environment protection for the smallest actions. Hoang Phu, the head of Dong An 3 Quarter, said: “From the date of self-sustaining environment protection team establishment, by major war veteran participants, wastes have been eliminated from the streets for a more beautiful quarter of Dong An 3.”
As an industrial location, aside from wastes, Thuan An Town is also threatened by environment pollution. However, on talking to us, a representative of Moc Xuyen Wood Co. Ltd. disclosed that the company has invested to dust collecting system and waste treatment plant while extending care for green trees.
At schools, shows have been organized to depict the campaign of cleaning up the world. Do Thanh Su, the Deputy Chair of Thuan An Town People’s Committee stressed that the initial results of environment protection in Thuan An Town were that local people are more rational in their smallest actions of cleaning public areas and plant trees. Meantime, regulations on environment protection are well observed by enterprises, businesses, schools, and organizations. Production technology has been enhanced to save up materials and reduce emission while new environment-friendly energies are made use of.
