Although her father died when she was 3 years old, leaving her mother alone to bring her and her brother up in very hard time, Huynh Thị Thanh Truc, a pupil of Tuong Binh Hiep Junior High School, has tried to learn well at school to get her good pupil title in many years. To her, only by exerting all studying strength will help her mother and make her dream of becoming a teacher come true.
Being a respectful daughter, Truc feels great anguish when her mother must sell lottery tickets everywhere to support the family. Her knowledge, which she had, is her mother’s perspiration and force. For her love to her mother, she attends fake-eyelash making to help her mother earn money in the summer. She only earns VND 70,000 after a hard working day. To her, although she cannot play with her friends in the summer, she feels very happy to share up her mother’s burden.
Regarding her learning, Truc is an energetic girl. Because she doesn’t have money for extra classes, she must try to learn by herself. She early is aware of help herself before being helped by others. The time in the class is very precious to her. She listens and takes note carefully the teacher’s teaching. She makes home researches. Because of her diligence, she has maintained good pupil title.
This year, she is getting to Grade 10. Together with the poor pupils, Truc has recently received CEF’s scholarship. She said that that was the 7th scholarships and the extremely significant gift in time for her schooling. The scholarship helped her in learning fees and gave her more prudence of herself and her future ahead. She promises to endeavor to learning well not disappointing people supporting her and to repay the toil of her affectionate mother who raised her up.
