Practical activities
The "I love my country" journey launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Youth Union has been concretized by the provincial Vietnamese Youth Union with many practical and meaningful activities. The journey aims to spread far and wide in the younger generation the love for the homeland and the country to preserve and promote cultural values and traditional heritages of the ethnic minorities. In addition, the activities also contribute to accompanying socio-economic development, and improving the material life of ethnic minorities and spreading the spirit of national unity, attachment and sharing in the Vietnamese ethnic communities.

The activities of the ‘I am passionate for my nation, my Binh Duong’ journey of the Vietnamese Youth Union of the province in 2022 have achieved many meaningful results. In particular, the contribution and support of companion units and benefactors deeply shows the tradition of "mutual love and affection" of the Vietnamese people. The Vietnam Youth Union of the province has organized many practical programs and activities along with activities to create a useful playground for youth union members to show off their foreign language communication skills and abilities. In addition, the journey also has many exchange and friendship programs between Vietnamese students in general and Binh Duong students in particular with students from Laos. Activities to take care of international students in Laos are supported by the Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union of the province to help them live and study in Binh Duong.
The journey of unity
In recent years, taking care of children of ethnic minorities has received special attention from the province, functional sectors and localities. The activities of tuition fee exemption and reduction, awarding scholarships, mobilizing benefactors to support clothes, books, learning tools, giving houses of material and spiritual life for ethnic minorities have been plentiful.
Minh Hoa commune of Dau Tieng district is home to many ethnic minorities and many households in difficult circumstances. The ‘I am passionate for my nation, my Binh Duong’ journey number 1 in 2022 with the theme "Youth journey to ethnic minorities" has just been organized with practical programs and works in Minh Hoa commune.
Accordingly, the Vietnamese Youth Union of the province has developed the program content to bring experiences to members and young people about the beauty of regional culture in localities in the province. In the journey, the students visited the relic of the French colonial rubber village, met and took care of the people and children of the village of Cham in Minh Hoa commune; organized food stalls, games for ethnic youth; participated and organized a student exchange night. Mr. Thai Kien Thuan, Deputy Chairma of the Vietnamese Youth Union of the province, said: “The program also takes place with related activities with environmental protection, distributing cloth bags to people in Dau Tieng market, implementing the "Green Sunday" at Truc stream. In Minh Hoa commune, the association awarded the youth project of "A flock of chicken" and 50 seedlings to ethnic minority youths to increase production; and presented 300 gifts to families and children of ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances worth about VND 300 million. The association also campaigned to give 100 free medical examinations and gifts to the children of Cham villagers totaling at more than VND 50 million, and awarded 200 post-COVID-19 medical examinations at about VND 100 million. The journey has contributed to strengthening social security activities among ethnic minorities; thereby, renewing the contents and methods of propaganda, education and activities and movements of the youth association.
