In response to Covid-19 vaccine fund: Millions of hearts mean millions of doses of vaccine

The whole country has been heavily affected by the fourth outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic with the number of infection cases on surge, threatening public health as well as the Government’s implementation of "dual goals". Although the Government, organizations and individuals are making efforts to buy vaccines, the amount of vaccines at present is still not enough for Vietnamese people. To overcome the pandemic, along with immediate measures, widely making vaccination among people is the most effective measure. To implement this solution, the country needs to have the efforts by the whole community.

From individuals…

As a mom of “diaper and milk", Dang Thi Hoa in Thuan An city’s Binh Chuan ward has stayed at home to raise her young children for more than a year. Her  family’s main income is made by her husband. Although having difficult economic conditions, she supported VND 200,000 for the Covid-19 vaccine fund. She shared: "Although my money is like "A drop in the bucket", I think each person’s contribution will partially support the country to buy Covid-19 vaccines for people. Each person can reduce shopping to support the fund, showing Vietnamese people’s kindness and solidarity. This is the right thing to do!”.

100% of Youth Union members from provincial Youth Union give support for the local Covid-19 prevention and control

Whilst, 100% of Youth Union members under provincial Youth Union also supported the fund. With the kindness, attention and sharing of the community, especially with the spirit of  enthusiasm, dynamism and responsibility of young people from provincial Youth Union, Binh Duong’s youths and the whole community in general will join hands with the country to fight Covid-19 pandemic.

...To collectives

Frontline forces in the fight against the pandemic like medical workers, soldiers and volunteers have worked very hard. They have excelled at entrusted tasks, but they could not control this virus completely. The country has still faced many difficulties in the fight against the pandemic. But,  if all the people are unanimous for the Fatherland, millions of hearts mean millions of vaccines.

Dang Thanh Van, Chairman of provincial Trade Union for State Employees  said: "In response to the call of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and its Official Dispatch No. 208/LDLD on mobilizing support for Covid-19 prevention and control, provincial Trade Union for State Employees has required trade union locals to propagandize and mobilize all cadres, civil servants and trade unionists to make contributions for Covid-19 prevention and control. All the donations will be transferred to provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Golden Heart Fund to buy vaccines and carry out Covid-19 prevention and control.

In order to bring life back to normal state soon, the Party and State have carried out the goal of early providing free vaccination for all people in order to achieve community immunity and this needs to be maintained every year. Vaccination is a fundamental, long-term, strategic and decisive solution to escape the pandemic. To join hands to do this, provincial Women's Union has also launched a program saving at least VND 5,000  per member to support the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund with the message of "Binh Duong’s women promote their sense of responsibility, joining hands with the community so that every citizen can be vaccinated against Covid-19 pandemic."

Provincial Women's Union Standing Committee also wants its branches to propagandize and mobilize officials, members and women to support the above program. This is a practical job with profound humanity while showing the spirit of responsibility of each individual to the community.

It is known that Binh Duong has always actively engaged in activities preventing natural disasters, epidemics and overcoming consequences from them. On May 25, provincial Fatherland Front Committee called for all people to participate in supporting Covid-19 prevention and control. In response to this call, many agencies, units, businesses and individuals ...in the province have supported VND 40 billion to the local fight against the pandemic.
