Improving labor quality
The province currently has 64 vocational training institutions, the total number of officials, teachers in vocational training facilities is 1,233 ones. Material facilities and teaching staff have met basically requirements of vocational training. Every year, the number of learners graduating from vocational training of all levels is over 30,000, increasing the proportion of trained workers in 2015 by 70%.

During the 2010-2015 term, Binh Duong has done well vocational training attached to business needs through assisting businesses in involving in vocational training and creating jobs for labors. Vocational training facilities developed cooperative programs with businesses, such as: sending learners to businesses for internship, then learners could accumulate valuable experiences. In addition, vocational schools have an office to introduce jobs to learners and help companies to find proper candidates.
Performing comprehensive solutions
Entering the 2015- 2020 tenure, labor demand is forecasted to increase by 1.4 million in 2020. According to provincial vocational planning in the 2015-2020, the province will open more vocational training institutions to train local human resource; build 3 vocational training institutions meeting international standards, 20 high-quality facilities, remaining units will also meet standards and will be classified by administrative levels. Management and teaching staff will also be strengthened to meet learning needs.
Nguyen Phung Trung, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs said, in order for vocational training to be effective, Binh Duong will continue to better policies, offer incentives to encourage labors to participate in vocational training, especially rural labors. The province will also offer incentives to attract professional of vocational schools, artisans, high-tech employees of companies to become vocational teachers. Vocational facilities should coordinate closely with businesses to define needed professions, quantities to give proper training; enhance vocational guidance for secondary and high school pupils; disseminate policies and regulations on vocational training.
To improve the quality, quantity and effectiveness of vocational training for rural labors, restructure labor, economic structure, fulfill provincial development goals, Binh Duong has implemented the project “Giving vocational training to rural labors until 2020". During 2010- 2014, the project gave vocational training to 7,734 persons (achieving 70.7% target), including 5,684 persons finding jobs at companies or develop their own business. In the 2016-2020 period, the province will give vocational training to 10,000 rural labors; the proportion of learners having jobs after vocational training would be at least 90%. |
