They are young businessmen of the 8X generation (those who were born in the 1980s) who have a common idea of doing useful something for the society. They have therefore established the “Industrial Myth of Life” Club.
The idea of establishing the club was from 3 youths of Nguyen Van Vinh working at Thu Dau Mot town-based Hung An office equipment Co., Tran Duc Huan, an employee of Poong In Vina Co. in Tan Uyen district and Nguyen Quang Ky, director of Dai Thinh Viet Inox Co. in Thuan An district. They are immigrants selecting to work at 3 localities of Binh Duong, Dong Nai and HCMC. The three localities are industrial ones, so they decided to name “Industrial Myth of Life” club. Huan said that “the birth of the club received great response from Tran Minh Trong, director of the HCMC Sponsor Fund for Workers. So, this club was found and held its first get-together at HCMC’s Binh Thanh district on Nov. 5”.
This club consists of 19 members who are owners of private companies, employees of joint venture businesses. All of them come from 3 regions of the country and consider the 3 industrial localities of Binh Duong, Dong Nai and HCMC as their 2nd homeland. They desire to do useful something to contribute to the society.
Initially, they run the club by receiving contracts to develop one another’s business because they work in fields of design consultancy, construction, office and kitchen equipment supply… Nguyen Quang Ky, said they would set up a joint stock company in the future.
Vinh said the club would have to be more positive in raising funds to conduct charity activities. The club’s members unanimously take a part of their business work’s profit to do social work.
This year, the club disburses its funds to grant train tickets to workers to return home this lunar New Year. This significant deed helps reinforce relations between businesses and laborers. Besides, the club’s members also help local poor people and mobilize to assist flood-hit provinces…
