Particularly for the 14-day isolation cases, the branch shall notify the locality where the resident is located to implement the isolation at home and under the close supervision of the health sector and tightened monitoring of hotel quarantine.
Safety ensured to prevent infection
Currently, the concentrated quarantine areas at hotels in the province have been very well ensured for disease prevention and control according to Decision No. 1246 of the Ministry of Health on “Guidance on paid temporary medical quarantine stay at the hotels in the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control.”
Talking to us about the health control and monitoring of those in close contact with the two above patients, Nguyen Hong Chuong, Director of Department of Health emphasized, at this moment, Covid-19 infection prevention and control in the segregated areas at hotels have been the leading task to ensure the health of the quarantined staff and people. Currently, health is controlled not only on close-to-positive cases but quarantine specialists are also closely monitored in centralized quarantine facilities. As a rule, during 14 days of isolation, each case will be sampled for Covid-19 tests twice.
“However, during the quarantine, those who show symptoms of the disease will be tested immediately without having to wait until the 13th day. If a positive case is found, the department will immediately transfer the patient to Binh Duong provincial General Hospital for isolation, monitoring and treatment. Principles of contact in the isolated area must be ensured at a minimum distance of 2 meters in well-ventilated space and masks must be worn. One of the things to ensure the safety of the quarantine area is the strict observance of the rules of the quarantined people. The quarantined people must stay in a room without meeting anyone; do not gather many people; going out is limited; talking to others is also minimized," Chuong.
In fact, in the concentrated quarantine area, the F1s are the subjects with high risk of disease and virus infection, so the arrangement from rooms, living utensils to the isolation is strictly obeyed by hotels by the regulations of the Ministry of Health. Currently, the Steering Committee for disease prevention and control of Covid-19 in the province pays special attention to the prevention and avoidance of cross-infection in the quarantine area. The cases with manifestations of fever, cough, shortness of breath will be immediately separated, monitored and treated. Currently Dai Nam Hotel is working closely with Binh Duong provincial Center for Disease Control and the Medical Center of Thu Dau Mot City to monitor the health of people who are quarantined and handled when there is an identified infection case. Before that, this hotel also organized and trained staff directly in the quarantine area on measures to prevent and control infection, sanitization and disinfection.
