Morning July 30th, provincial Department of Information and Communications held a meeting to sum up sectorial emulation movements in the 2011-2015 period. Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, member of the provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee, attended the meeting.

In the last 5 years, state management of the press, publishing activities was tightened, contributing to effectively dissemination of political, socioeconomic tasks in the province; enhanced information technology knowledge of civil servants; 100% units had electronic mail system, 100% units had document management system, 80% units built web portal, 100% civil servants had electronic mailbox. Besides, telecom infrastructure has been upgrading with large capacity, high speed; copper cable was gradually replaced by fiber optic cable stretching to remote areas. The sector also carried out 60 inspections, handled 144 violations, collected more than VND504 million of fines; received and handled 12 complaints…
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem asked the sector to promote modern, comprehensive, and effective development; the press, publishing activities to turn towards oriented goals, develop electronic newspaper up to 2020. The IT sector put forward solutions to improve effectiveness to serve better management, administration work at governmental agencies and units; enhancing provision of online public administrative services, and supervision to ensure information safety on internet of state bodies.
