Joy of disabled workers
Yazaki Eds Vietnam Co.Ltd.’s production factory now has nearly 50 workers who are the disabled. Most of them were trained at the provincial vocational training center for the disabled. Vuong Hoang Lam, the hearing imparied worker revealed “I have worked for the company for more than 3 months. Though I have lived away from home, I am very happy because I can work for life by myself “.
Joy of being worked is showed clearly on face of the hearing impaired worker Nguyen Truong Tien. Tien is the eldest child in a 3 children family. Owing to his disability, he always feels pessimistic. At the age of 20, Tien decided to learn sewing at the provincial vocational training center for the disabled. After that, he has worked for Yazaki Eds Vietnam Co.Ltd. so far. With 4 years of working, he is accustomed to production lines of the company. But now, his mother suffers a serious disease while his children are still young, so he must support for all family members. Tien said that the most important thing for him is that he is treated as normal people.
Meanwhile, Dau Hong Dang, a disabled worker is professionally working on machines of the company. With an income of over VND4mil per month, he can take care of himself.
Helping the disabled eliminate complex
Since 2006, Yazaki Eds Vietnam Co.Ltd. has received nearly 100 disabled people, mainly the hearing impaired people and more. Each group of disabled people is divided into various groups to work. After a short term training course, all of them get accustomed to factory jobs like ordinary people.
Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, rep of general department of the company said that the company directorate pays much attention to taking care of workers’ life and social charity activities. For the disabled workers, the company directorate suggests other workers to treat them as ordinary people. This helps them eradicate complex and pessimism.
In order to help the disabled workers win high results in work, Yazaki Eds Vietnam Co.Ltd. allocates jobs in conformity with their health. As such, despite disability and poor health, they still gain high results in their work.
Nguyen Van Nam, chairman of the provincial sponsor society for the disabled, orphans and poor patients said that Binh Duong has many people with disability but few of them enjoys proper works. In addition, many companies and factories have yet to welcome them. Therefore, it is essential to change view of disabled people.
