Jobs offered to working people

To meet the needs of rapid industrial development in the province, vocational training is of special interest to the authorities at all levels. Thereby, it helps to constantly improve the quality of skills for students and encourage the development of non-public vocational education institutions. In addition, vocational training for rural workers has been opened to creating stable jobs and bringing high incomes to tens of thousands of workers.
Local strengths promoted
Coming to places like Dau Tieng, Phu Giao or Bac Tan Uyen, it is easy to see successful people thanks to training courses for rural workers. Their starting point is manual labor with low income, but since they have access to local vocational training classes, they have gradually changed their thinking by opening new job opportunities with higher income. Some people can even build houses, buy land, and become owners.
Although he now has a spacious house and bought billions of VND in land and has a stable job, Mr. Le Chien Cong at Long Hoa commune in Dau Tieng district still doesn't like being called a successful person. He said: “The vocational training program for rural workers should not be taken lightly. That is the path of starting a business and finding jobs for the poor, which I myself am an example of. Like any profession, when I receive the initial basic training, I will continue to improve in the process of working, and then I will have a commensurate income. If Dau Tieng district opens vocational training classes and invites me to teach, I will not refuse." In 2013, when Dau Tieng district announced the opening of a cooking class and was informed in the commune, Mr. Cong was the first person in the commune to give up his hard work at a lumber mill to immediately register. Having a passion and having completed a vocational training class, he has never stopped learning more and quickly became a good chef of a large local restaurant for a relatively high income.

Local vocational training institutions in the province have been improved in terms of teaching and training to satisfy the general development demands, contributing to job creation and income elevation for people. In this photo: Trainees are learning at Dong An Vocational College

Mr. Lieu Van Tai Phu, a resident at Xom Bung hamlet in Thanh Tuyen commune of Dau Tieng wa of the similar sitution. Mr. Phu is one of the typical rural workers who regularly participates in vocational training classes organized by the district. About 3 years ago, Mr. Phu enrolled in a technical class on planting and caring for mangosteen trees, so he was very confident in taking care of his garden. After the courses, on applying the knowledge he learned, he succeeded in his 1 hectare mangosteen orchard. And yet, he also actively participates in the VietGAP Thanh Tuyen Mangosteen Association to share his experience in growing and preserving mangosteen specialties of Binh Duong. Thanks to that, many farmers have learned the profession to bring about higher income from mangosteen.
In the past 10 years, vocational training for rural workers has been covered in all districts, towns and cities in the province by training about 20,000 workers, of whom, more than 80% have had stable incomes. Benefiitting of preferential policies, people with meritorious services to the revolution, poor households, ethnic minority people, disabled people, people whose arable land has been recovered (subject to group 1), near-poor households (object 2), other rural workers (subject 3) are covered. The training professions deployed include cooking and catering,  information technology, cultivating, tending and exploiting rubber latex, shaping and taking care of bonsai, household sewing, veterinary husbandry, pomelo cultivation using VietGAP technologies, etc. Thanks to the training courses, most of the trainees have good skills and are introduced or employed to enterprises and production facilities.
Depending on the economic strength of each locality, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs will coordinate and organize corresponding vocational training courses to fully exploit the idle labor resources and offer employment after the courses. Many people, then, boldly borrow to open businesses or farming establishments to become masters and owners.  They not only create jobs, but also train other workers.
Competence of vocational and job creating institutions to be elevated
In addition to vocational training for rural workers, the province currently has 100 vocational institutions, adding 46 institutions from 2016. In order for vocational training to be of high quality and to meet the needs of socio-economic development of the province, departments and branches have constantly reviewed and supplemented equipment to improve vocational training capacity. Out of 100 vocational institutions, 75 non-public institutions, including 2 colleges, 6 intermediate schools, 6 vocational education centers and 56 other institutions are available for participation in vocational education and training activities, accounting for 75% of establishments across the province.
According to Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, vocational training under the Law on Vocational Education is available at three levels of elementary, intermediate and college to be in line with the province's economic development and labor market orientation and contribution to solve human resource problems for the southern key economic region. Every year, vocational institutions in the province enroll about 30,000 - 40,000 trainees while the number of annual training and graduation is more than 25,000. Typically in 2019, vocational institutions in the province recruited 42,942 people, reaching a rate of 110% compared to the year's plan target of 39,000 people, contributing to increase the rate of trained workers at 78% (with diplomas and certificates reachws 28%). In 2020, the province's enrollment target is 40,000. In which, 2,000 would be at colleges, 4,000 at intermediate schools, and 34,000 at elementary and under 3 month training.
Over the past time, Binh Duong has implemented many synchronous solutions to improve the efficiency of job creation for employees. Besides, it has kept on consulting for job introduction and preferential credit policies to support employees in creating jobs, expanding and maintaining careers. In addition, to ensure the supply of labor for businesses, the provincial Employment Service Center has strengthened connections with companies, factories, enterprises, districts, towns and cities in the area to grasp the recruitment needs of enterprises in order to promptly and accurately announce to employees, especially trainees who have just passed annual vocational training courses. Job consulting and placement activities are diversified to suit people of different ages in forms of face-to-face consultations, telephone consultations, online consultations, and applications.
Vocational training and career orientation are also interested and focused as every year, the provincial Employment Service Center cooperates with training institutions in the area to organize many meetings between trainees and representatives of some businesses. At such meetings, you not only get answers to questions related to actual jobs and careers, but also job orientation and advice on new trends in the labor market.
It can be said that vocational training and job creation throughout the province for many years have been on the right track, contributing to job creation and income improvement for people in the province from urban to rural areas.
