200 green trees planted in Vinh Tan
*Meeting in responds to World Environment Day held in Phu Giao
Early June 5, provincial Youth Federation in collaboration with Anheuster-Busch InBev Vietnam Beer Co.Ltd. held a program on “Joining hands for a green environment”, with the participation of young workers and Youth Union members from the company and Vinh Tan communal Youth Union.
Under the program, the company donated 200 green trees, a “lighting rural road” work worth VND5million and 10 wastebaskets valued at VND12million to the commune.
The program aimed to respond to the World Environment Day, June 5, thereby contributing to raising awareness of Youth Union members and young workers in the role and importance of protecting the environment and natural resources.
Participants also took part in planting 200 green trees in the commune.
*The same day, Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee held a meeting in response to the World Environment Day 2017 under the theme of “Connecting People to Nature”.
Accordingly, the district’s People’s Committee will conduct the local authorities at all levels, sectors and mass organizations to organize numerous activities calling on people from all strata to harmoniously live with the nature, actively take part in properly managing, tapping and using natural resources in association with environmental protection, develop and use environmentally friendly products, restrict the use of greenhouse gas emissions…
After the meeting, the district’s People’s Committee planted 100 “hopea odorata” and “dipterocarpus alatus” trees at Dong Chinh hamlet’s martyrs’ cemetery in Phuoc Hoa commune.
