Since 2012, the provincial armed force in cooperation with Division 9 Veteran’s Liaison Committee has held a survey to seek martyrs sacrificed in 1974 in An Binh commune, Phu Giao district. After a short time, 10 sets of remains of martyrs were found out but names and ages of these remains have yet to be known.
There are many mass tombs located separately at Dau Tieng and Phu Giao districts. Especially, the force found out 8 sets of remains of martyrs at Ben Cat district’s Lai Hung commune, 7 of which were defined names.
Aside from seeking out and gathering martyrs’ remains, the provincial armed force has paid specially to the work on military logistics. The provincial Military Headquarters, Ben Cat and Phu Giao districts’ Military Headquarters have built 5 gratitude houses for poor soldiers, cooperated with local authorities to grant 31 other gratitude houses, offered free health check-ups and medicines to privileged people, apart from paying gift visits to privileged people on holidays. In addition, the force’s youths and unionists have taken care of 476 martyrs’ unnamed tombs on holidays.
Assessing the works on gratitude repayment and military logistics, Colonel Nguyen Cong Danh, political commissar of the provincial Military Headquarters said that the works reached good results, thanks to excelling PM’s Decision 62/2011/QD-TTg.
