According to Nguyen Ngoc Tam, Deputy Head of North Tan Uyen district’s Division of Culture and Information, the district’s family work has been implemented in association with great programs, movements on cultural lifestyle construction, dissemination of the law on marriage-family, child protection and education, gender equality, domestic family prevention…The district’s sector of culture and information has also absorbed the attention of the local people via organizing the International Day of Happiness (March 20), the Vietnam Family Day (June 28)…Last year, the district’s Division of Culture and Information also held a talk show on “love and sharing” with 200 participants.
Over the past time, the district concentrated on dissemination of family construction in the renewal period. For example, the district last year hung 60 meters of propaganda bandroll on family days such as the International Day of Happiness (March 20), the Vietnam Family Day (June 28), the festival for outstanding cultural-sport families, the Action Month on Domestic Violence Prevention, the Law on Gender Equality…The district also received, delivered 4,000 leaflets on preserving the fine traditional values of Vietnamese families; 10,000 leaflets on happiness in family without violence; 310 books on questions & answers on domestic violence prevention and 10,000 leaflets on the “All people consolidate to build up cultural lifestyle” campaign. All contributed to improving each family’s knowledge about building up happy families…
Family protection, building
Along with the above-mentioned things, the district’s Division of Culture and Information carried out models, projects, including the Project on dissemination and education of morality, lifestyle in Vietnamese families for the 2010-2020 period in Tan Lap commune, the model on “Consolidating cultural families in the intensified period of national industrialization and modernization” in Binh My commune, the model on “Domestic violence prevention” in Hieu Liem and An Lac communes while continuing maintaining the operation of projects, models implemented over the past time.
It is known that one of practical solutions in family work is to build models on domestic violence prevention. Hence, the district has actively maintained family clubs, clubs on domestic violence prevention. Families in the district have also well realized criteria on building cultural families; well obeyed the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws; actively taken part in patriotic emulation movements…
Tran Van Phuong, Vice-Chairman of North Tan Uyen district’s People’s Committee said that in response to the National Action Month on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control 2020, the district will organize many practical activities under the theme of “Domestic violence prevention is the responsibility of sectors, authorities at all levels and the whole society”. Especially, this year’s Vietnam Family Day will be organized with the theme of “Preserving and upholding the fine traditional of behavior culture in family”. These activities aim to preserve and uphold the values of family culture, affirm the major role of family in the society towards building up well-off, advanced, happy Vietnamese families while contributing to successfully realizing the Party Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee’s Directive No.49/CT-TW on building up families in the period of industrialization-modernization in association with dissemination of domestic violence prevention, gender equality, education of Vietnamese women’s virtues in the intensified period of national industrialization and modernization.
