Joining hands to care for workers

Many trade union officials and workers from districts and towns in the province came to Young Workers’ Month and Young Workers’ Week 2018 launching ceremony. This activity showed the interest of provincial leaders in the young labor force in Binh Duong.

Many activities for workers

This year, with the theme "Each grassroots trade union, one benefit for union members", Young Workers’ Month and Young Workers’ Week 2018 will focus on four main topics, such as propaganda, protection of rights and legitimate interests of workers; Organizing activities for workers to have "better welfare benefits"; Promoting the role of workers in socio-economic development of the province such as: "Thanking workers", praising workers of the emulation movement "Excellent labor, creative labor" contributed initiatives to the growth of enterprises and localities; Organizing activities to respond to action month of occupational safety and health.

Specifically, these activities will be organized for laborers in industrial zones. These will be key activities of all levels, branches and the whole society in taking care of the labor force. From 2008 to now, Young Workers’ Month and Young Workers’ Week have developed and expanded in size and become the big festival of labor force in the whole province. This was a chance for people and organizations to express their concern and make material and spiritual sharing with laborers living, learning and working in the province; At the same time, create opportunities for young workers to train their skills, heighten their responsibility towards society.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dang Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee, praised achievements of the labor force in recent years, and affirmed that the labor force had contributed significantly to the development of Binh Duong province. Therefore, Young Workers’ Month and Young Workers’ Week 2018 of Binh Duong Province is the peak month of activities of caring for laborer’s material and spiritual life of all levels, departments, branches, unions, enterprises and the entire political system throughout the province. Binh Duong province Party, authorities and people always pay special attention to material and spiritual life of workers. The province always strives to create the most favorable conditions for laborers to work, learn, live and enjoy social security policies.

Gifts bring happiness

Apart from a solemn ceremony, the organizers presented 100 gifts (valued VND1 million each) to laborers, who had occupational accidents, difficult life circumstance but made good achievement in production. Each worker is a situation with difficulties, but all have the same courage to overcome their situation and proved themselves through achievements in labor, production. Quach Thuy Loan was an example. Four years ago, Ms. Loan came from Gia Lai to Binh Duong with empty hands. With a determination to build a better future, she applied for a job at Forter Vietnam Company. Every month she saves money to send home.

Also at the program, the organizers awarded certificates of merit to 15 enterprises for taking good care for meals of employees; Representatives of Becamex IDC handed over 3 hectares of land at administrative center of Bau Bang industrial zone to build cultural center for workers; Kim Oanh Real Estate Company donated VND 18 billion to build Kindergarten 28/7 phase 2 (Mỹ Phước Industrial Zone, Ben Cat Township)... On this occasion, VNPT Binh Duong and Kim Sang agricultural product Company signed a memorandum of understanding on the implementation of welfare policies to employees; Migrant workers support fund awarded 10 allowances worth VND1-3 million each to poor migrant workers. In addition, the program also launched text messages in support of a program supporting women in border areas.
