Vocational training offered to people of disability enabling production of rubber tapping materials which have been purchased all by Phuoc Hoa Rubber Corporation, has brought up joy not only to people of disability in Phu Giao, Dau Tieng, Tan Uyen, and Ben Cat but also to training staffs of Phuoc Hoa, the Association of People of Disability, Orphan and Poor Patient Support (APDOPPS) of Binh Duong Province and Phu Giao District.

It is surprising that the production of rubber tapping materials was suitable to people of disability.

Meeting us, trainee Nguyen Thien Thuc residing at Hamlet 6 of An Linh Commune in Phu Giao District, talked about his first time entering the course which he was so disencouraged. However, by the kind help, Thuc is now so confident with his products.

Thuc was received to Phu Giao District Association of People of Disability Support with monthly salary of VND 2.5 million after days of hard training.

Like Thuc, Mr. Le Xuan Long residing at Hamlet 1B of Phuoc Hoa Commune in Phu Giao District has now worked for Phu Giao District Association of People of Disability Support with monthly salary of VND 2.5 million.

Thuc and Long were among many people of disability offered with 45-day training course on technical production of rubber tapping materials (metal pieces). The course is supported with meals and travelling expenses.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nam, Chair of APDOPPS said that in 2013, APDOPPS has coordinated with Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) to offer guidelines on production of metal pieces used in rubber tapping in Phuoc Hoa. The courses were especially designed for people of disability so that they could find their own jobs.

Phuoc Hoa Rubber Corporation supports the purchase of all the products produced by the hands of disability.

The only challenge of the training courses is that people of disability are sometimes so limited in travelling and psychological approaches. Some refused to join for such reasons. Meantime, the training center is still lacking of curriculum for thorough instructions

Nam said that APDOPPS shall develop more training courses for people of disability to train them with how to earn through their very working efforts.
