at all levels of Binh Duong have paid more attention to the spiritual and
material lives of the disabled, helping them confidently integrate into the

the society like other normal people.
Disable people being guided how to make artery-stretching tubes used in the medical sector
Vocational training, livelihood support
Binh Duong is now home to around 10,000 disable people, more than 6,000 of whom now enjoy social allowances. Over the past 20 years, provincial Sponsoring Association for the Disabled, Orphans and Poor Patients teamed up with relevant agencies to give vocational training for 3,074 people. Noticeably, International Garment Private Enterprises in 2012 organized a class on how to make artery-stretching tubes in the medical section for 25 disable people. After completing the class, they can make such products by themselves with the average income of between VND3mln and VND8mln per capita per month.
Five years ago, Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Cuong Phat Porceilain Co., Dong Tam Lacquerware Private Enterprise and Minh Long Porceilain I Co. decided to offer jobs to around 500 disabled laborers with the average income of between VND3mln and VND7mln per capita per month. Although facing difficulties in the initial period, these disabled people felt very proud of themselves.
Currently, it is very necessary for the entire society to give vocational training and create jobs for the disable, helping them get stable jobs to raise their living conditions. The province over time also paid more attention to vocational training and employment creation for the disabled with the goal of helping them to be able to earn their living by themselves.
The province’s program on vocational training support and project on livelihood support for the disable have been implemented in pilot communes of the new rural construction program, including Lac An, An My in Tan Uyen district; Tan Hiep, An Long in Phu Giao district; Long Nguyen in Ben Cat district; Thanh Tuyen in Dau Tieng district and Binh An ward in Di An town. So far, hundreds of disable people’s families have enjoyed the program on vocational training support.
Whilst, the province’s project on livelihood support has also opened a new way for the local authorities at all levels in helping the disabled with such significant activities as breeding mother cows, pigs, chickens; building hygiene toilets...It is known that the above program and project were two among the province’s six support programs for the disabled and orphans implemented effectively over the past time.
