Over the past year, provincial Blind Association and its branches made efforts in taking care of the offspring of the blind.
On the occasion of the 2019-2020 new academic year, the offspring of the local blind people were given gifts and scholarships. Particularly, there were 9 with difficult circumstances offered bicycles and 10 with scholarships worth VND1million each. On the last mid-autumn festival, provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) donated gifts to 22 offspring of the local blind people.

Mid-autumn gifts for offspring of members of provincial Blind Association
Provincial Children’s Support Fund, DoLISA’s Support Division and donors also presented 102 gifts worth VND49.8million to blind children and blind people’s offspring on the International Children’s Day, June 1. In addition, provincial Association for the Blind mobilized a donor to support a pupil for inclusive education with VND2million per month.
Along with provincial Blind Association, its branches in TDM city, Thuan An town and Phu Giao district gave 132 gifts worth VND38.3million for blind children and blind people’s offspring. Provincial Blind Association also set up a list of 30 blind children and people blind’s offspring for scholarships, bicycles for the 2019-2020 academic year from units.
Nguyen Thi Huong, a member of provincial Blind Association said that thanks to getting help from the association, her child had a chance to go school in accordance with his age with school fee exemption and reduction together with other support policies. Possibly speaking, the support of donors contributed to improving the spiritual and material lives of the local blind people.
For blind children, provincial Blind Association also announced to open classes on rehabilitation for the 2019-2020 course; launched a writing contest from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Blind Association among its branches…
The above practical activities contributed to lessening complex of blind people’s offspring. With their own efforts plus the attention, support of the community, it is hoped that the offspring of the local blind people will be easy to integrate into the community for a better future.
Reportedly, the whole province is home to 22 offspring of members of provincial Blind Association with timely support and attention. They get school fee exemption and are prioritized to attend schools near their houses. In addition, they enjoy many other support policies from schools and donors. All aim to help them reduce their difficulties in life.
