A variety of healthy playground
Free entertainment areas and cheap price relaxation parks for children now emerge across Thu Dau Mot city, Thuan An town, Di An town and so on. At recreation area of Phu Loi ward center for Culture and Information in Thu Dau Mot city, there are some games with cheap prices for children. Therefore, the center becomes an ideal destination for many children. Do Thu Ha in quarter 9, Phu Loi ward shared “Thanks to this recreation location, children feel happier, especially in summer vacation. In the past, my children only hung about at home all day. Since this relaxation area has appeared, I often take them to the area”.
Arriving at the provincial Children House, we hear singing and sound of musical instruments. At present, the Children House has 23 aptitude subjects with more than 60 classes. Nguyen Phan Anh Thai, vice director of the provincial Children House said that the Children House leaders make greater efforts to complete the set goals. The Children House holds many activities around the year to offer healthy playgrounds for children. On June 1 alone, the Children House will open aptitude classes and inaugurate a stage course to train amateur and professional actors and actress. In the summer, the Children House in cooperation with the provincial Pioneer Council sets out an exchange program in service for local children.
Realizing its role, the provincial Pioneer Council holds many healthy activities for children through aptitude classes, music teams, sport and gymnastic clubs and so on. In addition, the Pioneer Councils at schools spur dissemination on moral tradition for kids through mobilizations of “Binh Duong children follow Uncle Ho’s teachings”, “Volunteer white shirts”, “Small plans” and among others. In summer, youth union at all levels hold activities of culture, art, sport for children.
Community joins forces to take care of children
Nguyen Thanh Truc, head of Department of Children Care and Protection under the provincial department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs said that over the past years the work on protecting and taking care of children has been paid much attention by sectors, organizations, individuals, contributing to ensure a healthy life for all children.
Thanks to the assistance, children have bravely joined in activities of family, society and school. Annually, the provincial administration earmarks billions of dong to implement priorities for children in a bid to spur implementation of rights for children, especially poor and remote children. From socialization capital source, organizations and individuals annually contribute to assist needy children.
In the first 5 months of this year, the whole of the province held 18 training classes on “Action program for Binh Duong children for the 2013-2015 period” and “Control of accidents in children” in a bid to improve capacity of cadres and employees involving in taking care of children.
In addition, the locality built a provincial forum themed “Children and control of accidents”. Meanwhile, functional agencies held gift visits to needy kids and organized 2,500 free entertainment places for them with the total cost of VND2.71bil.
Possibly speaking, the community’s care helps children get more energy to overcome difficult circumstances. However, there are still thousands of local children in dire need of helping and support of the community.
