For residents in Binh Duong, “paying debt of gratitude” has become a significant deed regularly implemented, showing their gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives for a peaceful life today.

Stock Company (JSC) is one of province-based enterprises with achievements in
the task of “paying debt of gratitude”. Recently, the JSC has continued funding
the construction of 2 houses for the local policy beneficiary families. Nguyen
Thanh Nghia, CEO of the JSC said that he has had an obvious awareness of the
responsibility of an enterprise to the community. Hence, in 2012, the JSC spent
more than VND162mln on “paying debt of gratitude”.

Similarly, Binh Duong Minerals and Construction JSC is an example role-model in the task of “paying debt of gratitude”. Dang Quang Trung, Deputy General Director of the SC said that along with building gratitude houses, the company has maintained a Vietnamese heroic mother and annually provided medical check-ups, medicine and gifts for the local policy beneficiary families…The JSC’s Youth Union is now responsible for regularly tending a part of provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery. This is a small deed, but it contributes to educating the local young generation about the moral philosophy of “When drinking water, remember its source”.
One of the province’s significant activities realized last year was to use the local Fund for the Poor to buy home equipment for 79 Vietnamese heroic mothers, heavily-wounded soldiers, poor policy beneficiary families with total expense of VND2.2bln. The fund is considering to present home equipment to the families of soldiers with 2/4 disability. According to the list made by district-level authorities, there are 153 such families in need of support and the province is preparing to check in order to soon grant support for them.
Tran Thi Son, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) said: “Depending on the real situation of each year, provincial FFC has mobilized socio-economic organizations and donors to make contributions to its fund. The fund is managed by provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA)”.
Regarding the integral efforts by the community in taking care of the local policy beneficiary families over the past time, Huynh Thi Hong Thu, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial Department of DOLISA affirmed that over the past time, “paying debt of gratitude” activities were realized by the province in a synchronous and effective way. In addition to the State’s attention, provincial DOLISA in collaboration with mass organizations to mobilize units and enterprises to take care of the local policy beneficiary families with difficulties, helping them stabilize their lives. The province also actively gave more help to the local policy beneficiary families via many policies so that there were no more poor policy beneficiary families in the province…Especially, provincial Fund for Paying Debt of Gratitude focused on building and upgrading gratitude houses, presenting saving books; upgrading martyrs’ monuments and supporting the local policy beneficiary families with difficulties…
The above efforts by the community have helped the local policy beneficiary enjoy a better life, actively contributing to educating young generations about the moral philosophy of “When drinking water, remember its source”.
