The whole province is now home to 15,000 poor households under the new poverty line. On these days, sector, mass organizations, businesses, charity organizations and people in the province have made a lot of substantial activities taking care of the poor during the 2011 Tet holiday.
Under provincial People’s Committee’s decision, this Tet those who are poor people, disabled children, hamlet-level officials, permanent militia in communes, wards, townships…will be given Tet gifts worth VND500,000 each. Poor patients who are being treated at hospitals will also receive Tet gifts worth VND320,000 each. Many organizations and individuals have also shared efforts in taking care of the poor during this Tet.

Letting all the poor enjoy Tet
On these days, provincial Red Cross Society has got animated with activities taking care of the poor during this Tet.
Tran Thi Son, vice-chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) said that this Tet, the province has spent much money on Tet activities for the poor with the goal of letting all the poor enjoy Tet. Sectors, mass organizations, businesses and people in the province have also made efforts in taking care of the poor during the Tet holiday…
The movement of joining hands to take care of the poor during the Tet holiday has also been loomed large across localities and mass organizations in the province. According to Bui Thi Kinh, chairwoman of Phu Loi ward’s FFC in TDM town, Phu Loi ward’s sectors, FFC and other mass organizations have actively mobilized all people to respond and organize Tet activities for the poor.
Taking care of needy teachers
On the occasion of the 2011 Tet festival, teachers who are suffering from serious illness will be given VND500,000 as the Tet allowance for each of us. The Tet allowance for teachers who have to maintain their parents alone or have small children and other extremely-hard cases will be VND300,000 for each of us.
Provincial Department of Education-Training, its affiliates and the Trade Union of the sector will also visit and donate Tet gifts worth between VND300,000-VND600,000 to the sector’s collectives…
