Early October 1, provincial Youth Federation and Dau Tieng district’s Association for the Elderly jointly held a program named “Journey for elderly people’s health” under the theme of “Young physicians following Uncle Ho’s teachings, volunteering for elderly people’s health” to mark the 60th anniversary of the Vietnam Young Federation (October 15, 1956-October 15, 2016) and the 25th anniversary of the International Day of the Elderly (October 1, 1991-October 1, 2016).
During the program, members from Dau Tieng district’s Young Physicians Club provided free medical check-up and medicine for 150 local elderly people. The organizers also presented 5 gifts to elderly people with difficult circumstances and congratulated 64 elderly people in Minh Hoa commune on their longevity.
The significant program aimed to boost solidarity among young physicians towards activities for the sake of the community, thereby helping the Vietnam Youth Federation continue affirming its role and position for youngsters and society, contributing to the cause of public healthcare, improving social, specialist skills and volunteer activities of members…
