At the end of September, a propaganda program responding to the 2017 To Make the World Cleaner campaign themed "Journey to Nature" took place at Lai Thieu Primary School (Thuan An Township). This program was hosted by Department of Natural Resources and Environment in collaboration with People's Committee of Thuan An Town and Lai Thieu Primary School and attracted more than 600 students, teachers, unionists, young participants.
Emphasizing the Campaign to Make the World Cleaner, Nguyen Hong Nguyen, Deputy Director of Department of Natural Resources and Environment said, responding to the campaign, the program "Journey to Nature" was organized to propagate, educate and encourage people of all strata, especially students to raise their awareness about environmental protection.
In parallel with the process of industrialization and urbanization, the environmental protection work in Binh Duong province has always the attention with many solutions to help this work more and more orderly. State management and communication activities on environmental protection have also been strengthened. Many activities to respond to events, programs and campaigns on environmental protection have been carried out. As a result, environmental protection awareness of the community, people and businesses in Binh Duong has been improved.

In order to increase the effectiveness of environmental protection, Mr. Nguyen expected that in the coming time, the sector should raise sense of responsibility, identify and implement key tasks, speed up the implementation of projects, tasks, solutions assigned by Provincial Committee, People's Council, People's Committee; thoroughly resolving environmental hot spots; intensifying the inspection, supervision and thorough handling of projects with high environmental pollution risks. At the same time, the sector continues to call on sectors, unions, people and businesses to condemn indiscriminate exploitation, natural resource disruption, public opinion and social press condemnation to acts polluting the environment; diversifying investment resources, strengthening socialization of environmental protection, fulfilling social responsibilities, including environmental protection; attention should be paid to maintaining and integrating environmental protection activities into teaching contents and activities at all school levels, strengthening monitoring, examining and solving complaints, strictly handling environmental violations.
At the program, leaders of Department of Natural Resources and Environment, leaders of Thuan An Town People's Committee, principal of Lai Thieu Primary School and businesses also cut inauguration ribbon of Green Building and Tree Planting at Lai Thieu Bo ke Park.
The program also organized a large game "Journey to nature" with meaningful activities and transmission of practical messages and knowledge on protection of natural resources and environment, mini games, folk dances, and booths to instruct material recycling, reuse to create good communication effect for the event.
