Joyful spring comes to immigrant workers

Many practical activities to welcome the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2019 for workers living away from home were organized across the province.

With the support of Becamex IDC, provincial Support Center for Young Workers organized the “Spring for workers” program 2019.

Provincial Support Center for Young Workers gives Tet gifts to needy workers’ offspring

The program featured a lot of significant activities, including competitions on arranging five-fruit trays, apricot and peach blossoms; art performance items for workers at Ben Cat town-based My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park…The organizers presented 40 Tet gifts to 40 young workers with difficult circumstances and 30 others to needy workers’ offspring.

The center also coordinated with enterprises to hold a market-day selling essential commodities at basic prices with 36 booths. In addition, the center organized a “Gathering in the Tet meal’ at a lodging facility on NH8 street at My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park. On this occasion, 50 needy workers were gave gifts, comprising of rice, instant noodle, sugar, milk, cooking oil…The center also mobilized units to donate 30 gifts worth VND500,000 each to members belonging to clubs “connecting young workers” with good achievements in 2018.

In Di An town, the Youth Union of Di An ward held a “Tet meal” program at a sub-union for young workers at 31/33, Binh Minh 2 quarter. The Youth Union donated gave a gift to the sub-union and reviewed its activities over the past time. This was also a chance for young workers to meet and exchange by traditional Tet dishes. Besides, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee visited and listened to young workers’ aspirations; presented Tet gifts to them and wished them a happy New Year.

On the occasion of the Tet festival 2019, the Youth Union of Di An ward teamed up with sub-unions for young workers to organize 7 Tet meals. Whilst, the Youth Union of Tan Binh ward worked with the ward’s Women’s Union to organize an art performance named “Sentimental spring”. The art night took place very animatedly with special items, contributing to improving the spiritual and material lives of workers living away from home. The ward’s organizing board of the “Gathering young workers” project also presented 110 gifts worth VND44million to workers who could not return home for Tet.

The Youth Federation of An Binh ward also held a “Volunteer spring” program with animated contests for young workers. Moreover, the local Youth Federation organized a lucky draw program with essential gifts, bringing a heartening atmosphere to young workers on the first days of the Lunar New Year. Nguyen Thi Hong, an immigrant worker in the ward said that she was very happy when staying in Binh Duong for Tet. The program held a lot of art performance programs for workers living away from home, helping them enjoy a warm Tet…
