Founded on Nov. 2, 2013, Thien Hoa charity team’s charity kitchen at Binh Duong provincial general hospital becomes a familiar address offering rice, porridge and water free of charge for needy patients and laborers.

The charity kitchen offers 500-700 rice portions for needy people per day.
The charity kitchen’s volunteers are divided into 12 teams, each including 10 members. They cook and prepare dishes to timely offer for poor people. Ly Thi Tim, chief of the charity kitchen revealed “We always try our best to cook well to cater for underprivileged people. We feel happy to see others’ joy”. Mrs. Tim spends all her time for the charity work.
At 3 a.m, the volunteers start their work. In the morning, they often cook porridge to serve for disadvantaged people. As a rule, breakfast is the time gathering most people. Therefore, the kitchen’s members are very busy in the morning. Ending the breakfast, they all prepare for lunch to timely distribute for poor people at 10 p.m. Till about 3:30 p.m, a crowd of people line up to receive portions of rice. The kitchen caters for 500-700 people in every meal. In the evening, the whole group members rotate to offer hot water for poor patients around the clock.
Not only catering for patients in the hospital, the kitchen is a familiar with needy laborers. A member of the kitchen shared “On peak time, we serve numerous people. Seeing their happy faces, we seem to be increased more motivation for our job”.
Le Thi My Nhu from the Mekong province of Soc Trang, relative of a patient at Binh Duong provincial general hospital said that the charity kitchen offers very delicious meals and we feel love in every dish.
The kitchen sometimes faces difficulties, owing to shortage of materials. Therefore, the kitchen’s members actively seek out sponsor from charity societies such as Bao Nam charity society, Bao Hoa charity society in the HCMC and so on.
The society is in dire need of gold hearts.
