Laborers have returned their companies to work after the Tet holiday 2013. But, labor market in Binh Duong has got animated as some enterprises have expanded their production and business activities. Another thing is that a small number of laborers have left their jobs after Tet. Province-based enterprises now has a great demand for laborers while laborers are also seeking a better working environment…
Labor fluctuation in early year not great
Unlike previous years, labor market in Binh Duong this year
has only seen a small fluctuation after a long Tet holiday. This result has
came from the integral efforts of enterprises, mass organizations and
authorities at all levels in taking care of laborers’ lives, especially during
Tet.
Representatives of enterprises interviewing laborers at the 63rd provincial job transaction session on February 24, 2013
Many enterprises have also applied various methods to attract workers after Tet, including attractive salaries and other social welfare policies. For example, Foster Electronics Co.Ltd. decided to give away one-half basic salary of a month to laborers returning to work after Tet. Workers at Binh Duong Garment One-Member Co.Ltd. were also helped get home for Tet and get back to work after Tet .
Whilst, trade unions at enterprises took good care of laborers before, during and after Tet by many significant activities such as organizing year-end parties, art performance to welcome lunar New Year; visiting and presenting gifts to workers with difficulties...Thanks to the above efforts, laborers have also keen to get back to work after Tet. The average rate was reported to be 92% in the province as of February 2, 2013. Especially, some companies, namely Maruei Co.Ltd., Sohwa SG Co.Ltd., Stada Co.Ltd., Takako Co.Ltd., Nitto Denko Co.Ltd…, saw 100% of laborers getting back to work after Tet.
Job floor transaction
Provincial Job Placement Center, on February 4, held its 63rd job transaction session with a considerable increase in the number of participating enterprises and job seekers.
As surveyed, most enterprises herein need to recruit unskilled laborers in industries of garment, woodwork, footwear…To Nguyen Hoang Anh, a staff of Vietnam Onamba Vietnam Co.Ltd., the company needs to recruit 200 laborers because of its production expansion and around 11% of total laborers left jobs after Tet. He added that the company recruited more than 100 laborers only after one week of resuming work and will continues to sufficiently recruite the remaining laborers. Thus, labor fluctuation after this Tet is not great compared to the previous years.
Nguyen Thanh Phuong said that the province’s transaction session in early year saw an increase in number of recruiters and demand for labor recruitment. The 63rd transaction session absorbed 72 companies with the demand of recruiting 6,000 unskilled laborers and 1,635 laborers with intermediate, college and university levels.
Also according to Mr.Phuong, provincial Job Placement Center has linked with localities without industrial parks to supply laborers for enterprises in Binh Duong in the 2011 and 2015 period while taking initiative in making coherence with universities, colleges and junior colleges in the region to provide province-based enterprises with skilled laborers.
