Taking place from June 8-12, 2013 at Hung Dinh commune, Thuan An town and other localities under Lai Thieu orchard, Lai Thieu fruit festival 2013 with the scale of 100 stalls will include unique items such as fruit roads, exhibition areas selling kinds of fruits of Lai Thieu zone and some province, cities under the Southeastern and Southwestern areas, display areas of craft village products and rural industrial products, etc. Of these, fruit fair will be a main space of this festival and also gather unique fruits from provinces and cities such as Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Long An, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Vinh Long, Dong Thap and Can Tho. In addition, a trade fair with over 50 stalls displaying high quality Vietnamese goods will be also an attractive destination for many tourists.

To ensure safety and efficiency for the fruit festival, relevant units have presently teamed up to implement preparation work from sponsor mobilization, promulgation, logo design, logistic training to order security and many more.
Thuan An town People’s Committee vice chairman Huynh Thi Thanh Phuong, said “role of Thuan An town People’s Committee at all levels in holding the fruit festival is very important. At present, we have focused on promulgation work to help local people learn about purpose, significance of the fruit festival”.
Moreover, sponsor mobilization and socialization work have been launched widely. Aside from the above works, the town People’s Committee has cooperated with the town division of Information and Culture to perfect contents of the “countryside colors” contest, one of important contents of the festival.
Additionally, the organizing board has concentrated on cleaning some canals in Hung Dinh communes and locations relating to the festival’s organization.
To ensure success for the festival, hi-unity from local residents and orchard owners is very important, aside from close cooperation of relevant units.
With the positive preparation works, Lai Thieu fruit festival 2013 will become a quality tourism product, luring numerous tourists and create a foundation for development of other tourism products.
