Leaders of Bau Bang, Thuan An visit, congratulate Buddhist facilities on occasion of Buddha’s 2259th birthday.

A delegation of leaders from Bau Bang district’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee (FFC), led by Vo Thanh Giau, Vice-Chairman of the district’s People’s Committee, yesterday visited and congratulated Buddhist dignitaries at Hoi Quang, Phuoc Hoi, Tinh Nghiem pagodas in Lai Uyen and Tru Van Tho communes on the occasion of Buddha’s 2559th birthday.

In the visiting places, on behalf of the district’s leaders, Mr.Giau presented gifts to Buddhist dignitaries and followers while wishing them a peaceful and happy Buddha’s birthday celebrating season.

The same day, Nguyen Thanh Tot, Chairman of the district’s FFC led a delegation to visit and donate gifts to Buddhist dignitaries at Linh Quang, Tu Hue pagodas in Lai Hung commune.

*Prior to that, Thuan An town’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and FFC, on May 28, visited and gave gifts for Buddhist dignitaries and pagodas in communes and wards of Lai Thieu, An Thanh, Binh Chuan, Thuan Giao, An Son, Binh Nham, An Phu, Vinh Phu and Hoi Khanh pagoda in Thu Dau Mot city.

In the visiting places, leaders of the town sent best wishes to Buddhist dignitaries, nuns, monks and followers; acknowledged contributions by them to the local socio-economic development during the past time while wanting that they would continue well realizing the Party and State’s policies and laws, upholding the spirit of “good life, good religion” and joining hands with the local government to consolidate the national great unity bloc.

The local Buddhist dignitaries also expressed their deep gratitude to the local authorities at all levels for their attention to religious activities over the past time while saying that they would continue mobilizing Buddhist followers to well fulfill the local movements.
