Leaders of Di An town extending best regards, presenting gifts to Buddhist dignitaries, nuns, monks and followers
In each visiting place, the delegation extended best regards and presented gifts as congratulation to religious dignitaries on the occasion of the 2016 Tet (Lunar New Year) festival and Thien Hau Lady Temple festival. The delegation also acknowledged contributions by the town’s Buddhist Sangha Executive Board, Buddhist dignitaries and followers in the cause of homeland construction and development while wanting them to continue getting involved in patriotic emulation movements, living with the “good life, good religion” motto; well realizing the local targets on socio-economic development, contributing to strengthening the national great unity bloc, ensuring the local security and order.
It is known that the town is now home to 38 Buddhist facilities with more than 1,800 nuns, monks and followers. Over the past time, the town’s authorities at all levels created advantageous conditions for them to practice their religious beliefs under the law.
