Leaders of Di An town’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations held 2 delegations, led by Ngo Ngoc Diep, Permanent Vice-Secretary of the town’s Party Committee, Chairwoman of the town’s People’s Council and Pham Van Bay, Vice-Chairman of the town’s People’s Committee, to visit and congratulate Buddhist dignitaries, nuns, monks and followers at 14 town-based pagodas, namely Thien Quang, Tam Bao, Chau Thoi…on the occasion of the Vu Lan festival 2017.
In each visiting place, leaders of the town extended best regards to Buddhist dignitaries, nuns, monks and followers; acknowledged and praised their contributions to the local socio-economic development. They also wanted that heads of the pagodas will further educate Buddhist nons, monks and followers to well realized the Party and State’s polices and laws as well as living with the motto of “good life and good religion”, making contributions to the local socio-economic development.
Heads of the pagodas also expressed their deep thanks for the attention of the local leaders and considered this as a great encouragement for the Buddhist community to develop under the spirit of “good life, good religion” while pledging to further mobilize Buddhist monks, nuns and followers to well carry out the Party and State’s policies and laws.
