Early February 4, a delegation of TDM city’s Party Committee, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, led by Nguyen Van Dong, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the city’s Party Committee visited and congratulated city-based pagodas, including Thien Hau Lady temple, Hoi Khanh pagoda in Phu Cuong ward, Bung Cau Thien Hau Lady temple in Hiep An ward and Tay Tang pagoda in Chanh Nghia ward on the occasion of the Thien Hau Lady temple festival 2020.
In the visiting places, the delegation presented flowers and gifts to the above pagodas while wishing their executive boards, the Chinese community and Buddhist followers happiness, peace and good luck. The delegation also applauded the spirit of cooperation from the pagodas in preventing acute pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus (nCoV); suggested their executive boards to continue well realizing the fight against the deadly epidemic disease; called for Buddhist nuns, monks and followers to strengthen the great national unity bloc, actively take part in the local patriotic movements, contributing to building up a more prosperous TDM.
Representatives of the pagodas also thanked the city’s leaders for their efforts in creating favorable conditions for Buddhist facilities and dignitaries to get involved in social activities. In the coming time, the local Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers will continue raising high the spirit of solidarity, well realizing the Party’s policies, the State’s laws and living under the motto of “good life, good religion”, thereby contributing to the common development of the city….
