Leaders of Thu Dau Mot city, on August 21, held delegations to visit, present gifts to Buddhist nons, monks and followers at pagodas in 14 wards on the occasion of the Vu Lan festival 2018.
In the visiting places, leaders of the city extended best regards to the local Buddhist nons, monks and followers; acknowledged their contributions to the local cause of construction and development while wanting them to further take part in patriotic emulation movements, live under the motto of “good life, good religion”, well realize targets on socio-economic development, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc, ensuring the local order-security, especially respond to the city’s Party Committee’s campaign on “Building civilized urban and cultural lifestyle” for the period of 2016-2020.
Heads of the above pagodas expressed their deep thanks to the local authorities at all levels for their efforts in creating favorable conditions for the Buddhist communist to develop while pledging to further mobilize Buddhist monks, nuns and followers to well obey the Party’s policies and the State’s laws, practise religious belief as stipulated, contributing to well realizing policies on social welfare, strengthening the great national unity bloc, ensuring the local order and security; organize the Vu Lan festival 2018 safely and orderly.
