Early May 6, Thuan An city’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee held 5 delegations to visit, offer gifts to Buddhist dignitaries at Hoi Khanh pagoda in TDM city and 34 pagodas in Thuan An city on Lord Buddha’s 2564th anniversary.
In the visiting places, leaders of the city congratulated Buddhist dignitaries and followers on Lord Buddha’s 2564th anniversary; briefly informed them of the local socio-economic development performance; acknowledged contributions by them in Covid-19 prevention and control while wanting that they will continue well realizing the Party’s policies, the State’s laws, policies, boosting the great national unity bloc, contributing to building up a more civilized, modern Thuan An city.
This year’s festival in celebration of Lord Buddha’s birthday will be held simply, solemnly and significantly, due to Covid-19 pandemic. Province-based Buddhist establishments will arrange sections with hand sanitizer bottles and sufficiently observe regulations on Covid-19 prevention when welcoming Buddhist followers for festival participation.
