The couple Binh and Loan said that their happiness was 7 mature offspringTheir 7 offspring including 5 sons and 2 daughters now have regular employment. The first daughter graduated from university and is preparing for a master degree. Second sons is working at Dong Nai Security vocational college; third son works for Southern Security Bureau; fourth son graduated from college; fifth daughter finished bachelor degree and is employed by a private enterprise; sixth son is working for Tan Uyen district Police and the last son has graduated from Security vocational college.Now the elder couple Binh and Loan does not have to work hard as before, but whenever recalling the past, they cannot their tears. Husband Binh said: “My family has a farming tradition, namely rice cultivation and duck rising. Both two families encouraged us to have many children. But we did not have lands so had to do farming on rented land, but still was in poverty because of having too many children. Then we borrowed some money to grow ducks, thus our life was surprisingly improved. We were able to send all 7 offspring to school thanks to duck rasing…”Knowing determination of their parents, their children tried hard to learn and work well. They have not only learned well but also had to help their parents to take care of the duck flock, and no one had to leave school. “We were in difficult because we lacked education. We always tell my children to better themselves through learning so that they do not have to do heavy farming like us. We tutored them at night after finishing work. When they were in higher classes, they helped each other. We also found useful books for my children to widen their knowledge. Without much money, but made every effort to provide our offspring’s learning”, said wife Loan.Besides learning, the couple also educated their offspring on good personalities. Ms. Loan shared that her 7 offspring now can give their parents a small amount of money to spend. Although their life is now improved, but the couple still do farming and grow 1,000 ducks. They feed up 3-4 litters of ducks and sell for VND20-25 mln each. Additionally, there is a 3,000-square-meter pomelo orchard with annual revenue of VND20-30 mln.Their family is an example for many people in Bach Dang isle. Mr. Binh said: “Although we are not rich, but we are content, because our children are good at learning and working, live for others and are loved by other people”. Their family has got titles of studious family and typical cultural family of the locality in consecutive years.
