Let all workers enjoy Tet

It is less than 2 months to the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit 2023. With the motto of "All trade unionists and employees enjoy Tet holiday”, provincial Trade Unions at all levels have prepared many activities to take care of Tet in a thoughtful and practical way in order to bring trade unionists and employees a warm Tet.

Thoughtful preparation

As noted by reporters, provincial trade unions at all levels have so far prepared many activities ready to take care of the Tet holiday thoughtfully and safely for trade unionists and employees, especially those with extremely difficult circumstances, occupational diseases, workplace accidents... Especially, in many enterprises with a large number of workers, trade union locals have prepared Tet gifts for trade unionists and employees.

Leaders of provincial Labor Union visit, offer gifts and extend Tet greetings to workers who stay in Binh Duong for the Tet holiday 2022

Dang Quang Duan, Chairman of the Trade Union of Far Eastern Vietnam Co., Ltd in Thuan An city-based Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park 1 said that the company's Trade Union has focused resources to take care of Tet thoughtfully for trade unionists and employees. Particularly, the company's Trade Union will give more than 5,500 Tet gifts worth nearly VND 400,000 each for trade unionists and employees. The Trade Union will also offer 50 Tet gifts worth VND 1 million each, including VND 500,000 in cash and some necessities, to workers with extremely difficult circumstances.

Along with that, the company's Trade Union has deployed the 2023 "Sentimental spring train" and "Sentimental spring bus" programs among all trade unionists and workers. Up to now, 80 workers have registered for the two programs, helping them return to their hometown for Tet. Also according to Mr. Duan, along with the careful preparation of Tet care activities from the Trade Union, this year the company still maintains the 13th month salary bonus (including basic salary plus allowances) for all employees. The Trade Union has also actively discussed the company’s directorate to set up a plan for Tet holiday and soon notify it to employees.

Nguyen Dinh Trong, Chairman of Long Yi Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd.’s Trade Union in Ben Cat town-based My Phuoc 2 Industrial Park said that during the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2023, the company will reward the 13rd month salary for all employees. The company's Trade Union will give 2,700 Tet gifts worth nearly VND 300,000 each for workers; visit and offer gifts worth VND 500,000 each to workers with extremely difficult circumstances staying in Binh Duong to celebrate Tet. Similarly, Yazaki Eds Vietnam Co., Ltd in Di An city has also carefully prepared Tet care activities for employees such as giving 7,000 Tet gifts worth VND 260,000 each to trade unionists and employees; giving 250 train tickets for trade unionists and employees to return home for Tet...

Many activities to take care of Tet

Truong Van Phi, Vice-Chairman of Ben Cat town-based Industrial Parks (Ips)’Trade Union said that with the motto of "All union members and employees enjoy Tet", besides supervising payment of regimes and policies, town-based Ips’Trade Unions at all levels will organize many activities to take care of Tet for trade unionists and employees, especially those with extremely difficult circumstances, fatal diseases, workplace accidents...Town-based Ips’Trade Union will give 2,000 Tet gifts worth VND 500,000 each, offer 640 train tickets and 120 bus tickets to trade unionists returning to their hometown for Tet under the the "2023 Sentimental spring bus” and  "Sentimental spring bus” programs; visit and donate Tet gifts to  trade unionists and workers with extremely difficult circumstances at lodging facilities. The unit will also organize Tet activities, including a "Tet reunion-spring cohension” program, a competition on apricot and peach arrangement for the Tet holiday... for trade unionists and employees.

Similarly, Thuan An city’s Labor Union will donate 2,500 Tet gifts worth VND 500,000 each from the local Stat budget to disadvantaged workers who do not return to their hometown for Tet. The city’s Labor Union will also organize a "Tet reunion - spring cohesion" program having lucky draw with highly valuable gifts; give train and bus tickets  for workers returning home to celebrate Tet; donate 500 gifts each worth VND 500,000 from the trade union's financial source to trade unionists and employees with difficult circumstances, fatal illness, workplace accidents, joblessness at the end of the year...

According to provincial Labor Union, trade unions at all levels have to be proactive to  grasp the difficult situation of businesses, the number of employees with  their working hours reduced, unpaid leave... for timely support. Along with that, provincial Labor Union has directed and supported trade union locals to closely monitor and firmly grasp the situation of enterprises, trade unionists and employees in order to participate, and propose employers to soon set up their Tet plans. Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have also focused on taking care of Tet for trade unionists and employees with total expenditure estimated at more than VND300 billion.
