In addition to improving the quality of teaching and learning, in recent years, province-based vocational colleges have attached special importance to linking in order to create human resources for the local businesses and economic groups with such practical deeds as taking students to factories for practicing, ensuring jobs with the monthly salary of VND8 million- VND 15 million per person, creating conditions for them to study and work from their 3rd school year. In addition, these schools have opened many new training professions on cosmetology, bartending and baking, helping students independently establish their careers after graduation.

Being self-confident with chosen professions

After 2 years of studying bartending at Dong An College of High Technology, Nguyen Bao Duy is self-confident with the profession he has chosen. Duy confided: "Now I can mix dozens of drinks in accordance with my preferences. In this profession, once mastering recipes you have learned, you can freely create and combine fruits and ingredients to create drinks in accordance with your preferences. With my skills, I have now applied for a job at a large coffee shop in Ho Chi Minh city’s Thu Duc city. I go to school during the day and work at night. My income is quite high. I plan to open my own small coffee shop after graduation”.

Dong An High Technology College creates jobs for 90% of students after promoting links with many enterprises in the area

Nguyen Van Kiet, a student of the school’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering shared: "At school, we spend about 70% of the time practicing on machines at mechanical workshops, along with many probation sessions on modern production lines of enterprises having the linkage with the school. Thanks to a lot of time practicing on machines, we have a very good grasp of the professions we have learned and are self-confident when entering factories after graduation."

At Vietnam - Singapore Vocational College, Le Tien Minh, a student of the Faculty of Industrial Electrical Engineering and his group of friends have constantly researched and practiced on the machinery system at the school's mechanical workshop, so they are quite self-confident after being trained. Minh said: "The school has just created conditions for us to take part in field trips to a number of enterprises in the province to know learn about how to operate machines, production lines and find electrical system errors on a few lines. We practiced quite well and did not take too much time to find errors on the devices. It is known that students in the previous training courses received support from the school to apply for jobs right after graduation. I also hope to have a stable job right after graduation."

In recent years, Dong An High Technology College as well as Vietnam - Singapore Vocational College have always guaranteed the annual enrollment at 1,300 - 1,500 students. In the coming time, the school will accompany Lego Group in training human resources. This opens up great opportunities for the school's students as they have access to an international standard working environment, getting foreign scientific qualifications in the current era of rapidly developing digital technology.

Along with improving training quality, over the past 5 years, Vietnam - Singapore Vocational College also continuously expanded its links with many enterprises in the form of studying and working in the province. Tran Hung Phong, Principal of the school said: "With this program, students will be interviewed by enterprises as soon as they enter the school and enterprises pay all tuition fees. And then, they will get hired after 3 years of studying at the school. In the joint training program, the school will train students at enterprises ‘requirements and may change some of its existing training programs to suit enterprises’ production characteristics".

Along with improving the quality of teaching and learning, province-based vocational colleges have opened many new training professions on cosmetology, bartending and baking, helping students independently establish their careers after graduation. In the 2023-2024 school year, Vietnam - Singapore Vocational College has cooperated with Belgium’s Puratos Group to organize the inauguration and training of the bakery profession at the school.
