Children in harsh circumstances have their opportunities to meet and express their wishes, dreams, compassion, and require the rights and obligations of children towards adults at the forums of “listening to children” organized by districts, towns, and Thu Dau Mot City. Accordingly, various measures have emerged to offer the best care for children the young generation of the nation.
The forums are parts of activities in a month of actions for children initiated by Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee. Accordingly, localities in the province have organized forums attracting participation of over 300 junior high students.
Being of different background, they are the students of great efforts overcoming hardship to pursue good learning with dreams and compassion.

In Di An Town, over 100 model children were invited to the forum where they raised up various issues of entertainment, schooling, premature labor, and birth certification. Bui Kim Ngoc, a student of Tan Dong Hiep Junior High School in Di An Town stated her observation of her peers in the locality in need of funding for schools; however, she wondered what would be done as those peers had no birth certificates.
They showed sympathy to their peers at the forum and expressed the simplest but most humane dreams to become teachers and medicines doctors to help those of misfortune.
“I dream of becoming a teacher to teach those children of difficult life. I am living in poverty in My Phuoc and I have seen those teachers devoting to help those in hardship with their schooling. Hopefully, those in poverty, just like me, would be offered such care so that we can maintain our schooling,” said Nguyen Phi Hung, a student of Hoa Loi Junior High School in Ben Cat Town.
According to Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Truc, Head of Children Protection Division under Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the forums have been significant events to have a view of the basic demands of children. In the meantime, measures to ensure safety and prevent the possibilities of pushing children to difficult and vulnerable situations. This is the chance for them to meet and learn as well as expressing themselves to local leaders.
On the forum, leaders of local agencies and unions have appreciated and replied to the children. The forums were concluded with messages calling upon agencies and social communities to support the children of dreams and passion.
