Early April 18, provincial Sponsoring Association for the Disabled, Orphans and Poor Patients coordinated with Tan Uyen city’s People's Committee to organize the distribution of livelihood support, medical aid, scholarships and bicycles to beneficiaries, including people with disabilities, orphans, poor patients and low-income households from Tan Uyen city, Thuan An city and the districts of North Tan Uyen, Phu Giao and Dau Tieng. The event was attended by Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, Deputy Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Truong Thanh Nga, Pernament Deputy Head of provincial Party Committee's Propaganda, Education and Mass Mobilization Commission.
Accordingly, the association awarded 50 scholarships, worth VND 2 million each and 151 bicycles worth VND 4.8 million each to students facing difficulties in Tan Uyen city, North Tan Uyen district and Phu Giao district. Livelihood support was provided to 12 poor, near-poor households or those with disabled members in Dau Tieng district and Thuan An city, with a total value of VND 118 million. Additionally, 100 gift packages worth VND 200,000 each were given to households with people with disabilities, low-income families, orphans and children of poor patients in Tan Uyen city. The association also granted VND 100 million to Tan Uyen city to continue supporting livelihood initiatives for disadvantaged individuals in the area. The total value of all support activities exceeded VND 964 million.
On this occasion, the association also collaborated with provincial Legal Aid Center to provide free legal aid services for people with disabilities, children of people with disabilities and households with orphans in Tan Uyen city.
