At Duong Green Festival, participants enjoyed many plentiful and attractive activities such outdoor stage, folk game, drawing contest and so on.
Nguyen Trinh Cao Son, vice head of the provincial bureau of Environmental Protection said that the number of participants was out of expectancy of the organizing board. Pupils from primary and secondary schools accounted for majority. They brought many ideas on environmental protection to the drawing contest by the smallest deeds. Nguyen Ngoc Huyen Tram, a pupil from Dinh Hoa secondary school designed a lantern made from old CD disks and so on whilst Nguyen Tran Nhu Hao from Chu Van An secondary school created a lotus basket made from wastes…

In addition, the festival was home to 8 open stalls including drawing area, recycled-product making area, collective area, environmentally friendly bag design area, film presentation area and so on.
Meanwhile, at the area of changing wastes for gifts, volunteers were very busy with offering gifts such as beverage, fast food… for visitors to take back wastes. Dang Thi Tien from Hiep Thanh primary school, said “I brought empty bottles to the festival to receive gifts. The deed will help protect environment”.

There were numerous businesses inside and outside of the province displaying their recycled products. They included Tetrapark Company or the Environmental Club of the HCMC University of Agro-Forestry.
Son stressed “Binh Duong Green Festival is a main activity eyeing the World Environment Day ahead. The festival is to diversify activities of environmental protection for pupils, students and people. Through the event, the organizing board hopes that local people will improve their awareness and action on environmental protection. In the coming time, we will further spur legal promulgation and education for young people by picnics”.

Binh Duong Green Festival co-held by the provincial department of Environment and Natural Resources and Green Network ended successfully.
