On Jan. 30, the local Construction Department held a summing up conference on its operation 2014 and launched plans for 2015 and received the third class Labor Order with the participation of Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and reps of departments, agencies and mass bodies.
In the past year, the department excelled its tasks and gained some important goals such as common planning on urban construction with the rate of 100%; urbanization rate of about 81.86%; housing area of 22.52sqm per person; urban population enjoying clean water at 98%; collected and treated urban garbage at 89%; treated waste water at 25% and more.
Promoting the done results, the department in this year sets out a goal of increasing urbanization rate of 82%, housing area at 24sqm per person, clean water dweller rate at 99% and more.
In order to complete the set goals, the sector will spur treatment of post-granting of construction licenses, control quality of works, especially works under the State budget, set up key planning projects and among others.
Addressing the conference, Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee highly appreciated achievements done by the sector and noted that the sector would continue to carry out the provincial party committee’s action plan on urban development; suggest the department to remind localities to excel work on urban management and regulations of architectural management and more.
On this occasion, the department was awarded the third class Labor Order while some collectives and individuals of the sector were granted merit certificates of the Prime Minister.
