Early Feb.26, Binh Duong province’s healthcare sector held a ceremony to celebrate the 61st anniversary of Vietnamese Physicians’Day (Feb.27, 1955-Feb.27, 2016) and pay tribute to outstanding physicians after 40 years of construction and development. Attending the event were Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, representatives of sectors together with health officials over periods.
At the ceremony, delegates together reviewed the traditions and results done by the sector during the past time. The sector has made strong changes, actively contributing to the local socio-economic development. The whole province now has a total of 6,550 health workers. There are 33,66 health workers per 1,000 people and 1,315 physicians. So far, 100% of communes in the province have been doctorized. Manpower for the province’s preventative health task has also been strengthened. The province’s public health system has been consolidated and developed strongly. There are now 3 hospitals and 11 preventative health units at provincial level; 9 health centers at district level; 17 regional general clinics and 91 health stations at communal level with good material facilities and modern health equipment…
Addressing the event, Mr.Hung praised achievements done by physicians and health workers during the past time while saying that the local healthcare sector needed to continue well realizing the “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” campaign and launching emulation movements in all aspects. He also wanted that each health worker must be imbrued with Uncle Ho’s teachings on solidarity and good care for patients to be worthy of the Party, State and people’s faith and love…
