Early August 4, provincial People’s Committee held a conference to review the three-year implementation of the Labor Code from 2013 to 2015 and the Project of “Labor relations development” from 2014 to 2015. Attending the event were Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee together with representatives of sectors, departments and more than 200 enterprises, workers in the province.

Binh Duong is among 5 localities selected by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to implement a pilot project on “Labor relations development”. The whole province now has a total of 941,925 laborers, 94% of whom have got labor deals. As of late 2015, there were more than 2,000 valid mass labor deals and more than 5,700 enterprises with working regulations. As many as 2,947 enterprises set up salary scales and payrolls with the average income of VND5.5million per person month over the past 3 years. Laborers also enjoyed the 13th-month salary as Tet bonus together with many other allowances from enterprises in the province…
Addressing the conference, Mr.Hung lauded the efforts by sectors, authorities and mass organizations at all levels, especially great contributions by enterprises in taking care of laborers’ spiritual and material lives, helping Binh Duong successfully changing from agricultural economy to industrial-service economy with high growth.
On this occasion, provincial People’s Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 190 outstanding collectives and individuals in realizing the Labor Code in the period of 2013-2015 and the Project on Labor Relations Development between 2014 and 2015.
