Binh Duong province’s medical care sector have actively launched patriotic emulation movements with practical activities and reached vital results, contributing to completing its entrusted tasks.
Attaching special importance to implementation work
Provincial Department of Health and its affiliates have actively promoted patriotic emulation movements among staff with contents focusing on “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary”.

The emulation work of the local medical care sector has also been showed via obtaining and exceeding the set targets in terms of preventive health, examination and treatment with such movements as those of boosting administrative reform at medical units, improving medical ethics and competence, practicing behavioral rules among staff…
The whole sector includes four emulation blocs: bloc for public hospitals, bloc for provincial-level clinics, bloc for district-level health centers and bloc for private hospitals. Annually, units in each bloc signs mutual emulation agreements and unanimously approve their year-end emulation score-board. They also register their lists of individuals and collectives who will win the titles of emulation.
Considerable results
Realizing the importance of patriotic emulation movements, the local medical care sector has focused on directing its units to map out specific action programs for each emulation movement. This has helped the sector uphold staff’s general strength, contributing to fulfilling its political tasks.
During the past five years, the sector well realized its political tasks. The sector did not let any big epidemic diseases occur, opportunely curbed several dangerous diseases. The number of food poisoning cases in the province reduced and there were no reports of death from food poisoning. Moreover, the sector effectively carried out national target programs on medical care…
The sector also has paid attention to the movement of scientific research. From 2011 to 2014, the whole sector had a total of 442 subjects on scientific research, technical initiatives and medical measures at grassroots level together with 15 subjects on scientific research at provincial level. Many scientific research works and technical initiatives were applied very effectively, helping the State enjoy benefit of hundreds of millions of dong, shortening the time of medical treatment and lowering the ratio of death.
The sector also diversified training forms among staff by active measures during the past five years, improving their professional competence at requirements on public healthcare.
Such these apart, the sector attached special importance to movements, namely “Building up cultural, green, clean and beautiful units”, “Two good performances”…and actively got involved in social charity activities. All the above mentioned movements also contributed to making strong changes in awareness of the sector’s staff.
Luc Duy Lac, Director of provincial Department of Health said that many outstanding collectives and individual were discovered through patriotic emulation movements over the past time. They excellently fulfilled entrusted tasks and were honored by the State. For achievements done, they are actually “flowers” for the sector’s staff to study and follow.
