During the past Tet holiday 2014, local people enjoyed a happy and safe Tet holiday, thanks to inspections of traffic order and safety strengthened by all level agencies and sectors.

Traffic safety ensured
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Huu, head of the provincial Traffic Police Department said that during the past Tet holiday traffic policemen spurred patrols and inspections across routes. Accordingly, units focused on ensuring traffic safety at entertainment areas and firework locations.
According to Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Huu, the local traffic police force will cooperate with functional agencies to strengthen patrols and solve overload transport, illegal parking and crack down on the alcohol intake of drivers of motorized road vehicles.
As a result, from Jan. 28 to Feb. 2, the entire province occurred only 30 traffic accidents, reducing 54.5% compared with the 2013 Tet holiday.
People’s demand on transport catered well
Dam Trong Cuong, vice director of the provincial Transport and Traffic Department said that during the days near Tet holiday 2014, the department ensured transport and circulation of passengers on buses. As a result, 2,257 coaches catered for more than 58,000 passengers whilst 168,760 passengers were served by 7,975 bus routes.
From Jan. 27 to Feb. 2, transport units carried 39,666 passengers. Transport units well implemented passenger transport on the fixed routes.
At the local coach terminals, passengers enjoyed a thorough service. In terms of ticket price, the transport units increased 40-60% of ticket price for routes from Binh Duong to central and northern provinces on Jan. 25-29. Meanwhile, the fixed routes from Binh Duong to Dong Thap were increased 40% of ticket price from the ordinary days.
The work on traffic safety on all routes during the past Tet holiday was ensured. There were no reports on illegal transport of banned products such as explosive, unquarantined poultry products. In addition, traffic inspectors held inspections on traffic order and safety across coach terminals.
As for urban order, functional forces found out 7 violation cases, reminded 75 cases encroaching road corridor. Meanwhile, functional agencies detected 50 cases violating regulations on road safety and order.
During the past Tet holiday, tens of thousands of people flocked to entertainment areas. Accordingly, Dai Nam Van Hien Tourism Site attracted about 150,000 tourists and Cau Mount eco-tourism area lured more than 15,000 people. In addition, many other tourism sites such as Bach Dang flower road, Spring flower festival absorbed thousands of tourists per day. Moreover, Binh Duong Water Park and Thanh Le Culture Park lured numerous tourists.
Nguyen Thi Hoa, 25, from the Northern province of Thanh Hoa, working at Song Than 2 IP in Di An town said that in the past Tet holiday she must stay for Tet, so she made tours to Bach Dang flower road, Spring Flower Festival.
Possibly speaking, thanks to well preparation on order and security and traffic safety, Binh Duong people enjoyed a happy and safe Tet holiday.
