Over the past years, thousands of local farmers have escaped poverty and made wealth thanks to effective usage of loans from the Bank for Social Policy.

Enjoying loans from Tan Uyen
district Bank for Social Policy in 2000, Pham Minh Cu in Binh My commune, Tan
Uyen district has had 13 oxen. He not only has refunded loans quickly but
possessed a rubber plantation. Since 2005, his family has sold 15 oxen with the
total value of over VND100mil. At present, his family has had breeding oxen
worth VND50mil. 
Pham Minh Cu uses loans to raise oxen.
Kim Vam in Tan Binh ward, Di An town has enjoyed a stabile life thanks to loans from the bank whilst Ly Thi Kim in Lac An commune, Tan Uyen district has escaped poverty thanks to loans the bank. From a VND10mil loan plus experiences on making traditional cakes, Kim’s family now enjoys a comfortable life. In 2011, she was honored as a good farmer in production.
Families of Cu, Vam and Kim are 3 among thousands of local farmer households escaping poverty thanks to preferential loans.
Loans for people in need
Nguyen Yem, vice chairman of Tan Binh ward People’s Committee, said “the province has so far had many poor households in need of preferential loans.
Dau Tieng district’s An Lap communal Farmers Society chairman Nguyen Van Sang shared preferential loans from the Bank for Social Policy have brought great efficiency, contributing to local poverty reduction.
To offer loans for people in need, the bank will disburse loans for poor households and privileged people in need as well as facilitate local people’s capital borrowing.
