Building strong trade unions
Bui Thanh Nhan, vice chairman of the provincial Labor Union said that implementing a goal of developing more 1.5mil unionists, the provincial labor union registered to develop 100,000 unionists and set up 700 grassroot trade unions.
Until now, the local labor union has reached 38% of its plan on membership development and 150% of its goal on grassroot labor union establishment. This result is thanks to timely instruction from all level agencies.
In addition, all level trade unions have paid attention to training and knowledge improvement of trade union cadres.
For interests of laborers
Bui Thanh Nhan assessed that trade union’s operation has over years showed renovation in both content and form, bounding legitimate rights and interests of laborers.
To create a harmonic, stable and advanced labor relationship as well as minimize labor dispute and unprompted strikes at businesses, grassroot trade unions have held dialogues between employers and employees in a bid to timely solve petitions and grasp laborers’ aspirations.
In addition, higher level trade unions have helped grassroot levels build and sign collective labor agreements with employers as well as hold meetings and talk-shows between laborers and grassroot trade union cadres.
Laborers and trade union cadres’ petitions on kindergarten, entertainment area, electricity price, food safety, etc have been recorded by local leaders.
Moreover, legal consultancy has been paid much attention by grassroot trade unions. Trade unions at all levels have so far had 37 legal consultancy units, offering useful advices for more than 18,000 people.
Creative labor emulation
To develop widely emulation movements, all level trade unions have worked with authorities and employers to hold patriotic emulation movements for laborers.
Content of emulation movements has been concretized in conformity with specialized tasks and characters.
Through emulation movements, thousands of laborers have reached titles of outstanding and advanced labor.
By good deeds for legitimate rights and interests of laborers, Binh Duong provincial Trade Union not only is a companion for laborers but wins trust of employers.
