Building up harmonious, stable and advanced labor relations in businesses is one of major contents to be discussed at the 12th national Trade Union congress. In Binh Duong province, the Trade Unions at all levels have always attached special importance to realizing this task.
Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union said that under the Directive No.22-CT/TW, instructions of provincial Party Committee and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on building up harmonious, stable and advanced labor relations in businesses, the local Trade Unions at all levels have implemented many concrete activities to boost cooperation between relevant sides in labor relations; instructed tasks of negotiating and signing collective labor deals; realized grassroots democratic regulations; given legal consultancy and taken part in dealing with labor disputes…, aiming to stabilizing labor relations.

The local Trade Unions at all levels have also improved the quality of conferences for laborers, dialogues with laborers…So far, 100% of State agencies have organized the annual conferences for laborers. There has been an increase in the number of enterprises organizing the annual conferences for laborers. More than 10,200 dialogues were also held over the past time, thereby opportunely dealing with laborers’ obstacles. Besides, the implementation of grassroots democratic regulations at the workplace greatly contributed to building up labor relations.
In the last tenure, provincial Labor Union teamed up with relevant units to organize 20 dialogues with 3,632 Trade Union officials and laborers. The local Trade Unions at all levels also attached special importance to enhancing the quality of negotiating and signing collective labor deals in businesses. There was an increase in the number of collective labor deals. Till now, the whole province has had 1,366 businesses setting up collective labor deals or 56.3% of total with contents bringing more benefits to laborers.
Mrs.Hanh said that with concrete solutions, the situation of labor disputes in the province over the past time went down. In the coming time, the local Trade Unions at all levels will further take more solutions to build up harmonious, stable labor relations. Accordingly, in the 2018-2023 tenure, “Improving the quantity and quality of negotiating, signing and effectively realizing collective labor deals” is among four major tasks to be realized by the local Trade Unions at all levels with the set targets as follows: getting at least 70% of non-State businesses with collective labor deals; reaching at least 80% of collective labor deals with contents bringing more benefits to laborers, in which there are at least 35% with type A…
The local Trade Unions at all levels will also further grasp and collect laborers’ aspirations for timely support; improve the quantity and quality of negotiating, signing and carrying out collective labor deals via increasing the ratio of businesses with trade union locals signing collective labor deals; coordinate with functional agencies to make inspection and supervision of negotiating, signing and implementing collective labor deals in businesses; improve the competence of Trade Union officials who are in charge of policy task…
