*Over 120 local Youth Union members give blood
Provincial Agencies Bloc’s Youth Union has organized a “Back to the root” trip in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province’s Con Dao archipelago from May 22 to 25.
Accordingly, 30 participating Youth Union members have a chance to visit Phu Son, Phu Hai prisons, the “tiger cage” relic, Hang Duong martyrs’ cemetery…On this occasion, the delegation will present a computer worth VND9mln to the Border Post 450; give 500 notebooks and 3 scholarships worth VND200,000 each to pupils at Cao Van Ngoc primary school on Con Dao archipelago.
This program aims to educate Youth Union members about the traditional heroic struggle of Vietnamese people for national independence and freedom; raise their awareness of the importance and strategic position of islands in the cause of national construction and defence.
*Provincial Business Bloc’s Youth Union has just organized the first charity festive day for community’s health. During the festive day, more than 150 Youth Union members registered to give blood, 121 of whom met requirements for blood donation.
It is known that this festive day aimed to mark the 124th birthday anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890-May 19, 2014) and welcome the Vietnamese Workers Month and the 7th provincial Young Workers Week.
